Superbad
Seth and Evan are best friends. They spend every waking minute together. But, when they get accepted into different colleges, they know that they have to make their last summer together their best. And, they want nothing more than to lose their virginity and party with their classmates.
When Seth gets invited to a party by his dream date, he willingly agrees when she cajoles him into getting the alcohol for the party. Along with their friend Fogell (a.k.a. McLovin) and his fake I.D., Seth and Evan attempt to get liquor.
This leads them on a hilarious chase with two alcoholic, incompetent cops.
Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are so authentic and endearing in the roles of Seth, Evan and Fogell that they have us on their side from the first moment they appear on screen. And, the scene-stealing Seth Rogen and Bill Hader are side-splittingly funny as the goofy cops.
Filmmaker Judd Apatow (Knocked Up) has started a new era of insightful teen comedies, and Superbad may be the best of them all.
