Syd matters

Michael

Two distinct musical styles in a single album give an opportunity to compare musical growth. From underground folkie to boarder line new age, Syd matters shows a variety of style and sensitivity to lyrics and music. The first "Someday we will foresee obstacles" is a sort of low light make out music (don't forget the wine and cheese" for a night in a Manhattan high-rise overlooking the rain fall on the city. The songs are that introspective. While the 2nd CD, "A whisper and a sigh" seems to be more of the ordinary folk perhaps in the Village walking the streets. This particular CD, emotionally reminds me of the mental wondering of what shall we do after a deep conflict. Each step of life is a habit and Syd matters is asking use to watch ourselves walk.
