Tango

Lawanda Johnson

The Latin artist known as Vayo is releasing his new album, "Tango." Vayo Raimondo is one of a few artists of tango music that happens to write his own music. "Tango" is a blend of different genres such as Latin, classical, and world.

Starting off the album, "La Cumparsita" is a melodramatic ballad with Vayo's dark and mysterious vocals. His deep vocals sound uncanny at first, but after awhile his voice grows on you. "La Cumparsita" is sung in Spanish like the rest of the tracks.

Most people will agree that it takes two to tango; however, Vayo sings about the "Three for Tango." This track has a classical sound that lightens up any atmosphere.

"Daniela" is the most appealing song off the album. Vayo sings in a mixture of dark vocals that contrast to the soft instruments played in the background. "Daniela" is a sympathetic and sweet tune that will impress many listeners.

"Tango" is very different to the popular genres that people are familiar with; however, discovering new music is favorable. Vayo works hard and challenges himself to have the traditional tango sound stay alive.
