Orlando band There For Tomorrow deliver all twelve songs on their second full length album with an attractive, emo-tinged earnestness and a strong pop sensibility. The four-piece should be commended for the step they've taken in writing more complex song structures—some of the parts might throw you off for a second upon first listen simply because you're not expecting them, but the tone of the songs is always maintained quite well.
Where The Verge comes up short is in the hook department.
It may be a result of too many syllables in the lyrics or too consistent a delivery in the verses and the choruses, but the tunes here, while enjoyable to listen to, probably won't stick in your head for too long.
At the end of the day, The Verge is disappointing because it's not great, but it's really not bad. It'll make you tap your foot even if it doesn't get you singing along.
