Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends

It is easy to see why "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" became Coldplay's quick assent to the top of the charts. Every track is fully of beautiful melodies and poetic lyrics.

The two titled songs are brilliant, especially "Viva La Vida," which made me like Coldplay ? I never really have before. Yes, there are some tracks better than others, but, like I have stated previously, that is due to personal preference. The instrumental first track "Life in Technicolor" is brilliant and uplifting in tone. These songs seem to be stemmed not only from the love of music but also from the desire to create something with wit and intelligence; there is more to these songs than just pretty music and lyrics.
