Why I watch 'Sex and the City'

I never thought I would be one of those girls who would actually watch a show like Sex and the City, much less enjoy it. Based off the columns by Candace Bushnell, the show is about Carrie Bradshaw, who is a sex columnist in New York City.

Carrie writes about the dating lives of she and her friends Samantha, Charlotte , and Miranda. One day while channel surfing, I came across the episode where Carrie breaks up with Mr. Big (Carrie’s main off and on love interest throughout the whole series) for the first time because he introduced Carrie as just a friend after they have been dating for several months.

After wondering if she made the right decision, Carrie said at the end that she left Mr. Big because she had faith that she deserved to find someone who would be proud to introduce her to their mom and call her their girlfriend. I thought the script had such truth and wit. Plus, I am fan of cosmopolitans, and Carrie’s weekly column.
