XACT Communications WristLinx

An update to the now standard handheld communicators... stylish and good looking.

They advertise looking good and keeping in touch. These mobile handheld communicators seem to be the rage, especially when you're in places where a cell phone doesn't work; malls, overseas, out on a cruise. XAct has made the devices so that they're functionable, but also stylish. Now, I personally wouldn't wear the watch, because I'm 28 and would probably get thrown out of one of our executive board meetings if my watch started screaming at me, but I could envision wearing the Personal Communicator while out jogging.

Basically, they have two main variants. One is the WristLinx, which is essentially the Dick Tracy communicator that you've dreamed about. It's a little bit bulkier than my Timex, but my 15-year-old nephew went nuts when he saw it.

"That's cool!" he screamed like excited 15-year-olds do when they find something cool.

It was then that I realized that the true usefulness was to strap one on him and track your children, all the while knowing that they won't loose it.

The Personal Communicator is a little bobbing, ball thing that works well when I go jogging or bike riding. It is hip and allows me to get nagged by the office just as effectively as with a cell phone.

I've seen a few of these communicators, but I do believe that the XAct models are a bit better looking than most of the rest. While each version might not be my personal taste, my nephew Christopher went nuts for one of them!
