Getting in limo with Richard Burton in Rome
My friend and I were returning from Africa where we were working in the Peace Corps and we stopped in Rome on the way home. In the evening we were walking by this huge hotel and I saw two people coming down the stairs. I said it looked like Elizabeth Taylor. Anyway, we walked across the street and saw them get into a limo, and of course we looked in the back seat and there sat Elizabeth Taylor with Richard Burton. I later found out this was one of the times they were trying to reconcile
