On My Side of Town!
A few months ago, I had run into a Winn Dixie store to grab a few items. In the fresh produce section, I'd noticed this tall, lanky fellow-kind of scraggly-looking. There were two others guys with him, who kinda looked like they were "keeping an eye out". I thought "Oh, my gosh! No! Couldn't be! Not here." and I went on about my business. When I got into the checkout line, I was behind this same lanky fellow in his flowered shirt, shorts & boat shoes. He bought some flowers and a few other small items. When he walked out the door, my cashier took off running to the Customer Service desk. I turned to watch her. She was squealing "Do you know who that was???" and she was waving a piece of paper. "It was Rod Stewart! Look! He gave me an autograph!!!!" I almost fainted. If I hadn't second guessed myself, I could've gotten his autograph, too! But, I was still confused why he was in this store-it's not like this is a great neighborhood or anything.
