Years ago I was walking past the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia. It was back when two-tone shoes had become popular again. I was behind a woman with very old two-tone shoes and was feeling sorry for her. I thought that she wanted to look in fashion but the shoes were so very old and outdated.
Then I heard "The Voice" and realized that I was feeling sorry for Carol Channing as it was Ms. Channing in front of me!
No, I did not stop to ask for an autograph.
