With Bob Hope for 4 weeks
During 1968 I was TDY to Cam Ranh Bay RVN, my unit, 314 Tac Airlift Wing was responsible for transporting The Bob Hope Christmas Show around Vietnam. The TSGT that was assigned from my career field had to go on emergency leave at the last minute. Since I was already in country I was called to catch a flight to Bangkok and hook up with the show. So I spent the next 4 weeks as the instrument specialist for Bob Hope’s 3 C-130 transports
