Merle Haggard

While working a two-year stint at Kansas City International Airport, I had the opportunity to see and meet very many celebrities. Those I can remember are Merle Haggard (my favorite), Ricky Skaggs(who I saw three times), Terry Bradshaw, Johnny Rodriguez, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Crystal Gayle, Billy Joe Royal, Shennandoah, John Hartford, Bo Diddley, Clint Black, Chuck Norris, Michael Landon, Art Carney, Al Lewis, Roger T. Mosely, Geraldo Rivera, Charles Kuralt, Hulk Hogan, Red Skelton, and the Olympic ice skaters on their winter show tour.

Michael Jackson thought he was too important to enter the building. He was just transferred from one plane to the other on the tarmac. Obviously my experience was several years ago, as some of those mentioned have passed on. These are just the people I saw at work, let alone saw in concert. Unfortunately while working, I never bothered anyone for their autograph. DUH!
