Billy Joel comes through drive-thru
When I was in high school (around 1987), I worked at McDonalds in Riverhead (Long Island) N.Y. I was working in drive thru that day and Billy Joel came through with his then-wife Christie Brinkley. They were driving an SUV and even had daughter Alexa Ray in a carseat in the back. I collected their money and then ran back to the grill area to tell everyone who was in drive thru. I remember it was April 1, because everyone was saying, "Yeah, sure, April Fools!" and at first no one believed me. Finally, people starting coming around and pretty soon they started cramming into the drive thru cubical to get a look. Billy Joel said, "Can I just have my food?" and then they drove off without their drinks.
