Janet Lennon

Back in 1959, I spent the summer at my grandmother's house in Breezy Point, NY. While at the beach, I saw the Lennon Sisters (who appeared on the Lawrence Welk Show every week) sitting on a blanket. I started talking with Janet (the youngest, who was my age...13). I aked her if she would let me take her picture if I ran home and got my old Kodak Brownie camera. She agreed so I ran home to get the camera and, sure enough, she had waited for me. I took a few pictures. I was very impressed at how nice, down-to-earth, and regular she was, despite all her fame.
