Danny Thomas - Father of Marlo

Was an honor to meet him!
Way, way back in 1981, when I was 15 I worked at Wendy's fast food in Kissimmee, Florida. One day when cleaning up in the dining room I spot Danny Thomas (with his wife and manager) sitting at one of the tables eating burgers and baked potatoes. I went over to him and said hello and asked how he was and such. He was very, very nice and asked me how a kid my age knew who he was and he even gave me an autograph. What a great man. Not only a fine entertainer but a truly good-hearted person. He was in town to do some promo spots at Disney for the Children's Miracle Network which he founded, and which, to this day still helps hundreds of thousands of sick kids and their families.
