At the beach in Hawaii
Robin Williams and his entourage (kids, women, and at least one other man) came and put their blanket down in front of us at Hanauma Bay. I surreptitiously (I thought) took their picture, about 10 times. Sometime after that, and after lots of people on the beach had asked for pix with him, I asked if I could take his picture. He said, "I think you've already done it a bunch of times." I was totally embarrassed, and said, "No, I was taking pictures of things out in the water." He was very gracious and let me take his picture anyway.
