I was an extra in a move he was in, in Portland, Oregon
While movie extras sat in a hot room from 9am to 7:30pm for $35.00 a day with all they could eat, Burt stayed in his huge black air-conditioned motor home except for one time when he walked into the restaurant location. Four of us sat in a booth behind him; they filled the room with smoke to imitate a nightclub. After the scene, he walked by and said to us,
"it ain't all tinsel and gold is it."
