Day with Donnie Osmond
I am a 31-year-old male cancer survivor from when I was 13. At the age of 14 I was on Donnie and Marie Osmond's Cancer Telethon. One year later, Donnie was in Cincinnati promoting his Album "Soldier of Love" on a radio station. I called in to talk to him about being on the telethon. He talked to me for a few minutes and asked me if I wanted to spend the day with him. I said sure and he picked me up from my house and took me to a signing session with him and then we went to lunch. After that he drove me home and gave me an autographed tape of his new album. When I arrived home my mom, who worked the night shift, was just getting up from her nap and asked who was in the car. I told her Donnie Osmond and she just laughed and asked me who really was in the car. I told the story and she almost fainted because Donnie was her teen crush. She started to run after the car but he was halfway down the street by the time I finished the story.
