Meeting David Bowie
Years ago (about 21) I was baby sitting for a man named Carlos Alamar, who was the lead guitarist for David Bowie. He also co-wrote David Bowie's most well known song "Fame." When Bowie was touring and in New York, Carlos asked me to watch his daughter Lia (about four years old) at the hotel where the band was staying. After the concert, Carlos and some of the band members came back to the hotel and went to another room to eat and drink. I stayed with Lia in the main room watching TV. The doorbell rang and I went to answer it and it was David Bowie. He asked if Caelos was in and I said yes, he is in the other room. He walked through the door and turned around and held out his hand and said "Hi, I'm David." I said I'm Janet and something else but I forgot. We shaked hands. I was cool. Didn't act crazy. I later found out that Carlos asked Bowie to the room knowing I'd be there. I got free tickets to the next night concert.
