Warm and friendly Bob Hope.
I was in military uniform at Atlanta, GA airport in 1967 with a long layover. I saw a short figure of a man alone in the distance coming toward me. Mr. Hope extented his hand for a shake and said, "How you doing?" We talked for a couple minutes then he moved on. All of a sudden I saw a crowd of people surround him for autographers and photos. I was quite surprised by it all and it never occurred to me to get a autograph at the time. He was soft spoken and humble to me.
