My brush with fame was when I was a little girl. I went to a home show with my parents, I must have been 4 or 5 and Jesse Owens was the celebrity there for the show. They had door prizes and Jesse spotted me in the crowd and ask me to come to the stage. He picked me up and had me draw the tickets for prizes out of a hat. Then he told me what a sweet person I was. Turned out to be right as many years later my name was Sweet by marriage. I realize that this is a long time ago but my Mom is still alive and remembers that day very well.
