Got Dave's autograph on camera and a cue card.
A few years ago, I went to New York to attend a taping of The Letterman Show. I went prepared to get an autograph, but what were the odds? It just so happened that a person a couple rows ahead of me won the "canned ham" Dave used to give out. So along with a few others I stuck out my hand for a hand shake and then showed him my pen and paper. He said, " I'm in the middle of the show" but then he signed!! After the show a guy came up behind me as I left and handed me a cue card with a joke he told during the show. It was so neat! We called my friends mom in California to record the show for us so I have it all on tape. That day we also were in the crowd waving on the Today show and in the audience for a taping of the Maureen O'Boyle Show. My 15 minutes of fame.
