It was about 1988 when my wife and I took my mother sightseeing around Hollywood, etc. and stopped at the Farmer's Market. Ida Lupino, who was greatly worshippped by my mother, was sitting at the next table having lunch. My mom was so flabbergasted that she forgot to ask for an autograph. She just sat ther with her mouth open looking at Ida.
