Unexpected sighting of Detective Andy Sipowicz in an unusual place in Illinois.
My husband and I were in an antique shop in St. Charles, Illinois (not too far from our home) browsing around for "finds". All of a sudden the store was all atitter but low-key as word spread that Dennis Franz and his wife Joanie were in the shop perusing items. We were asked to not approach them but we could "casually" glance at them. Which we did!!
It was exciting to see someone from a famous TV show (NYPD Blues) with his wife. They looked just like we expected. We were told that they frequent the shops whenever they're in town to add to their antiques and collectibles that they collect. We really wanted to say hello but we respected the store's wishes and Mr. and Mrs. Franz's privacy as they perused the store. It was really exciting to get that close to a real celebrity even though they seemed to be like any other ordinary couple.
