Enrique Iglesias
I went to See Enrique Iglesias in Concert in Ft.Lauderdale, FL. It was Great!
First off, it was sooo hot. We were seeing signs of a heatwave in the sky on our way in to Florida, so we knew it was going to be god-awful hot. So we went to the venue kinda late, so we wouldn't have to wait in line and sweat our butts off. We make it in the venue at around 8ish. The whole front section was taken and reserved, so we ended up getting seats a whole section back. Enrique was awesome on stage. I could tell that he was a little different on stage, but the reason being is because the crowd was different. There were fans there, yes, but there were many there that only came to see what he was like, and they didn't join in on the fun Enrique tries to bring to the audience. They had multiple girls make it on stage. Some were bum rushed by security guards, and others got to remain on stage. This one girl got on stage and started dancing very dirty with Enrique's microphone stand and then Enrique took her hand and she did a salsa dance with him. She was obviously very outgoing or very drunk.
It was Crazy.
I did notice Enrique looking up and over to the side, and my friend said look there is Anna Kournikova, but it wasn't, it was an older blond lady with curly hair. But we knew she was there somewhere. Which was confirmed later, when I saw her with my own two eyes.So after the concert, we hung around only for as long as the mean security guys would let us. My best friend Anna was interviewed by Univision. She will be on that show Control sometime in November '03.
We were finally pushed out the door by security. So we decided to go back to the back of the venue.
Enrique finally came out, in his black BMW sports utility {i know his licence plate number now!}.
Enrique signed some autographs and took some pics with us fans waiting behind the venue. He signed every last autograph there, I thought that was very kind. Then I said to Enrique, please sign my poster, I drove all the way from Louisiana, hehe! Then Enrique started talking to me saying, "you drove here from Louisiana?" I thought I would never do that, and then I said I would. We had a few other words. Then Enrique asked "C?" for the spelling of my name, then I said no,"S. S-h-a-n-t-e-l-l." Then he said "T-e-l-l?", and I said yes. Then he said "eh." He signed my poster "Shantell Big Kiss Enrique"
Then he motioned with his finger twice to come towards him. I didn't know what he wanted, then I knew, he wanted a kiss, so I leaned in towards his face and he gave me a wet kiss just above my right lip. I was sooo happy, he had asked me for the kiss and actually took the time to ask my name, talk to me, and sign my poster with my name on it. That was amazing!

Anna was in the passenger side seat, she was wearing a pink and white top. I said "Bye Anna," as I was walking away from the car and she looked at me real quick then turned her head. She had her head turned the whole time he was signing autographs.
Fernando and Abel his Manager and Tour Manager were there beside us all. I talked to Fernando very briefly.Oh and I talked to the hero girl, she was so emotional and happy from the time she got onstage, 'til the time she came out from backstage after the concert. I had asked her what Enrique smelled like. But little did I know I would get to smell him later on. To me he smelled of sweat and old beer. Hehe!
Ok, that is all I can think of for now. And I forgot to get my camera when Enrique was signing our autographs. Boohoo! But obviously it wasn't the right time. Next time I will get some of him close up.
