Former Head Coach Phila Eagles Football
Many years ago I was in the habit of going to the Phila Athletic Club every Sunday morning. After a shower and before I could dress I spotted and said "Good Luck today, coach", then Head Coach of the Phila Eagles. With an unlit cigar in his mouth and speaking in a deep southern accent, he put his hand on my shoulder, made eye contact to the extent I remained slightly wet and unclothed, and proceeded to gave me a thirty minute lecture on pro football. When I got home, my wife asked me why I was so late, I told her what had happened. She asked what did the coach say. I replied that between the cigar in his mouth and his accent I didn't understand a word. My wife, had the best insight of all. She said maybe that is why my Eagles always lose - the players don't understand him either.
