While living in Belfast, Maine, it was not uncommon to see celebs on the street. It had become a bit of a game around town to say which one had been sighted in a particular week. One afternoon I had stopped into the local grocery to pick up a few items and was not really paying any attention to the person in front of me. I loaded my groceries onto the conveyer and then looked up to see a fellow who looked phenomenally like Keith Richards. Just a look alike I thought to myself; then this fellow spoke to the cashier and when I heard his voice and accent, I knew he was the real deal.
I stood there thinking "I should say something... Mr Richards, I really love your work...hey Keith, you look great...or something more cereberal...Mr Richards, I love the different and innovative turns the band has taken over the years."
As I was standing there pondering my options, staring at Keith with that "deer in the headlights look" he turned around to me and said, "Great day we're having," to which I replied, "Yeah, but it's supposed to rain tonight."
