Riding the Roller Coaster with Ben Vereen
This celebrity event occurred quite a few years ago. Mr. Vereen was in town to perform at Melody Fair (just outside Buffalo, NY). I had been at Crystal Beach amusement park and riding in the last seat of the Comet roller coaster. As always (being wacky( I screamed "We're all going to die!" on the way up the first hill. An incredibly handsome African American man with a flourescent smile turned around... it was BEN VEREEN! He laughed and the ride was great.
I saw him later on the bumper cars and he gave me another big smile and waved.
