Ran into Al Roker at Tournament of Roses Parade
I won a trip to the Rose Parade thru my job (USPS). All the winners got a chance to work on the postal float. Al Roker was there doing a story. I was excited because when I was in elementary school, he was a local Cleveland reporter. While on a school field trip, he gave me a picture that he signed. As a young Afro-American, I remember being so impressed that an Afro-American man was on TV and had such an important job, but that he was so nice to me!
