Evelyn Champagne King

In 1984, she played a concert at SUNY Albany in Albany, NY. I was a student photographer for the yearbook and school newspaper. She gave a great concert! Her voice was wonderful and when she sang 'Shame' the crowd went wild. After the show, I got to meet her. She invited me on her tour bus and we talked for about a half an hour. She was very nice and told me her dream was to record a song with Michael Jackson. When I left, she gave me an autographed photo of herself. I still have it and remember what a nice person she was.
