She was wearing a parka inside in California!~
I went to a taping of The King of Queens last year in LA. The line was so long I didn't think I'd get in. But when they stopped letting people in, I was ready to leave, when one of the shows production crew came out and said they had a seat for only one person. Since in the small line that remained, I was the only single left, I got to sit in the very first row reserved for friends and family of the actors.
The man next to me explained that his son was the producer of the show and I thought wow I'm getting preferential treatment all because my friends didn't want to come with me. Just then a page came over and said to the man next to me "she's been looking for you, she will be right over”. A woman wearing a winter parka came walking over and was hugging the group next to me. She handed out some bottled water to them and then turned to me and asked "how are you?" I was amazed to see that the woman in the parka was none other then Ann Meara. She told my neighbor she'd catch up with the group after the show and left. I asked my neighbor how he knew her and he replied "It's simple, we were neighbors for years back East and our children grew up together! Then he added "her husband is in the show" (as if I didn't know!)
