Eddie is following me!
I was at the Namm convention in Anaheim. A friend invited me to go along. Being a guitarist, I was interested in meeting people in music. My friend had said that we also might see some stars there. Well we went on two different days. At the end of the second day we were a bit disappointed, not meeting any body with celebrity status. We left the convention and we were hungry so we decided to go to the restaurant in the Hilton Hotel.
We were walking past the elevator corridor when a man popped out and was trying not to be seen by a small crowd with cameras. He was sweating terribly and nearly knocked me over. It was Eddie VanHalen, I just said "Hey, Eddie". And he said "Hi" and then quickly dashed into an elevator. Another friend invited me to a celebrity golf tournament. We were climbing up hills and there were crowds of people and we got to see a few different stars, but from a far distance, they could barely be seen. (Robert Stack and Valerie Bertinelli) Well we went walking back to the car when a golf cart came speeding up and stopped right next to me. It was Eddie again. This time my friend had a camera. He said "You again!" "Yeah, how you doing, name is Tom.” He shook my hand and said Hi" He put his arm around my shoulders and we got a great picture together. Then a crowd started up the road noticing him. He got back in the cart and took off. I was thinking "Gee is Eddie following me?”
