Years ago, my mother saw Edith Head shopping in the local Sears notions department.
Couldn't believe my ears when my mother said she had just seen Edith Head in the neighborhood Sears. I told her it couldn't have been the Oscar winning costume designer. And then my mother told me that she overheard Edith Head discussing her latest film and it's costume problems with the sales clerk.
