I have been a fan of the Osmond Family since the mid 1970's but have never met any of them although I came close after the Christmas of 2001. Four of the brothers were touring and came to Clearwater, FL for their Christmas show. I was told there would be no “meet and greet” after the show as they had to get to their next gig, so I was disappointed. However, during the concert, Merrill Osmond comes down into the audience and goes through a row shaking everyone's hands. The row happened to be mine...the second row stage right. He came through, shaking everyone's hands, then my dad's and finally mine (I was sitting in the far right isle seat) that actually ended up being right at the stage (the rows were in half circle/arch facing stage). Hopefully one day I will get to officially meet them all...especially Donny, Marie and Merrill...my three favorites although I would love to meet all 7 performing and 2 nonperforming siblings and their father (their mother passed on Mothers Day 2004) so meeting her sadly will never happen.
