I met John Wayne
When I was a small child I lived with my Mom, big brother and big sister in Bishop California. My mom worked at a dude ranch called the "Rocking K". Part of True Grit was filmed there and my mom waited on John Wayne, Kim Darby and Glen Campbell. She found out that John Wayne was going into town to check it out. We were the first ones to find out and we saw him on Main Street dressed in his Rooster Cogburn outfit with the eye patch and all. We were able to get his autographed card and I kept it until my wife and I lost everything in a house fire in 1990.
