Stunned speechless
I stood in line for a long time to meet Dan Hill and get his autograph. My friends and I were talking about what we would say and how cool we were going to be, etc.
We finally get up to the table and he very nicely asked - like anyone of us can remember - something like "How are you today?" And, to a person - there were 5 of us - we all said, "Mumble mumble mumble" as quietly as we could. God knows what he thought of us! We were so embarrassed we haven't spoken of it since and that must be 20 years ago!
