Meet the Country Group Alabama
I was a junior in High School (many years ago) and won tickets to see a new country group called Alabama. This is the year that Alabama won Best New Country Group. I took a friend of mine and we sit in the second row.
After the concert, my friend and I waited in line and got autographs from the group. When we left the auditorium, we were hanging out by the stage door. The guys came out and invited in their tour bus. We got to talk to them (and the wives of a couple of them) for about 2 hours before they had to leave. Their wives even took our addresses and sent us their fan mail newsletters for a couple of years! I will never forget that night. The band members were very nice to a group of girls hanging around a stage door.
