For some, meeting Tom Hanks is a
Fact: Saline Solution is a Tom Hanks magnet.
It’s like some sort of guaranteed paranormal optical-lubricant vortex. Three different times in NYC, my friend, Angie, had her head back, putting in eye drops when Tom Hanks walked by! Then she’s all embarrassed and feels like a fool cause he says hello, and I say hello like a normal person, but she is squinting and blinking blindly with her face all wet. Plus he catches her making that face that looks like the mask from the movie Scream, which we all make while putting in eye drops. Like women who open their mouths while putting on mascara. What is the eye/mouth connection? Anyway, so Ang has been giving Tom the creepers with her bloodshot-wet peepers, but he is always gracious to us anyway.
I always enjoy our brushes with Mr. Hanks, but they leave Angie “all wet.”
Tip: So if you want to meet Academy Award Winner Tom Hanks, get some Visine.
