Al & Gwen Had My Cousin Babysit
Gwen and Al Martino were good friends of my Uncle Toby and Aunt Ella De Luca. Uncle Toby worked for WFIL in the music department at that time. The Martinos needed a babysitter so my cousin Bernice De Luca and I were elected. I met Mr. Martino and his wife Gwen. He was definitely the first celebrity that I ever met and I've never forgotten. I know Al Martino would occasionally come to Springfield, PA to visit his mother. My aunt and uncle also resided in that area. Those were the good old days for Channel 6!
