Elvis Got On To Me For Using Binoculars During His Concert
When I was living in Memphis, Tennesse I got the privelage to go and attend my very first Elvis Presley Concert at the Mid-South Colisiem. When I was told that I'd be sitting up high behind the stage where Elvis would be performing, I made sure to take my binoculars with me. While Elvis was singing one of his songs on stage, I took the binoculars in both my hands and looked thru it right at Elvis. When he finished, he turned and looked right at me as I'm looking at him with the binoculars, and says,"Ever get the feeling somebody with frog eyes is lookin' at cha'?" I said, "I'm Sorry Elvis!" As he still looked at me. Boy, I mean he looked right at me too.
Later, when I worked for Madison Cadilac there in Memphis as a Driver, I got to deliver one of his cadilacs that he had purchased, and delivered it to his cousin Dee Presley just around the corner from Graceland. Her house backed up to Graceland, so I could see where Elvis rode his horse, in the back of Graceland and goofed around. He would allways buy his Cadilac Cars from the place I worked at, he was a very gracious kind man and put Memphis on the map forever. Long Live The King!
