Ann Southern

Going for an Autograph

When I was a little girl traveling through Sun Valley, my mother and grandmother spotted Ann Southern. We followed her home and my folks insisted we go to her door for an autograph. I was trying to talk them out of it when she appeared at her door carrying her toy poodles. She graciouly gave us her autograph. I was embarrassed then and still am to think we invaded her privacy.
