I was first or second grade when I got transferred to Barbara Pierce Bush Elementary school in Houston, TX. For the opening ceremony, she came down and some kids were picked to hold up letters that spelled out PEARLS (because she always wears pearls). I was chosen to hold on of the letters and got to meet her. The White House sent us a picture of the ceremony with me on stage with Mrs. Bush.
