The only good thing about flying
After spending a rainy trip in Washington DC, we arrived at the airport to find that our flight was indefinitely delayed and may be cancelled due to bad weather. As we live in New Jersey we figured the best thing to do was see if we could drive a rental car home. Arriving at the rental car office, our shuttle bus had to stop for someone loading up their car. When the shuttle driver beeped and the man turned around, I realized it was Donald Sutherland. We got off the shuttle bus and asked if it would be okay to take a picture with our son. He was extremely gracious, shook our son's hand and we have a great picture of him with his arm tightly around our son and a big smile on both of their faces. Though I've met other people and they were all great too (Dave Matthews, Yoko Ono, Johnny Reznik) you have to take into account that he was having the same crummy, rainy travel day that we were and he was still so accomodating and friendly.
