I had taken a trip to California to see my girlfriend at the time, which, in the end turned out to be a bad idea. I spent 7 miserable days in her apartment after finding out she had met someone new, and I had no contacts and nowhere else to go. By the time I made it to the airport to leave I was in just about the worst mood of my life so I sat down against a large column in the terminal and started writing in my journal. A few minutes passed before I bothered to look up again, but when I did... all I saw was a huge clock, and I knew right away it was Flav. I said hi, and he asked what I was 'scribblin' and I told him the story and he just said, "Word. Girls are trouble, homeboy." I guess it was around the time of the taping of his show with Bridgitte Neilson and he was heading back to New York. Anyway, I smiled a bit and he got on his plane and left, but I felt a lot better about my experience.
