Meeting the Queen Mum
When I was around 10 years old, I visited the races with my father. The Queen Mother was there to see one her horses race. I suddenly saw her in the distance, ran over and ducked under the barrier. I politely asked 'Ma'am' if I could have her autograph (well, I was only young!) and she responded that she wasn't allowed. I had my camera with me and asked if I could take her picture instead, which she allowed me to. Unfortunately the pic only had a little bit of her face on! But it was lovely to meet her.
