In Venice beach
My ex-husband and I were visiting L.A. on business. We took some time to go rollerblading on the path on Venice Beach. We discovered a great cafe called "The Cows End", which I enjoyed as they have a caffeine-loaded milkshake called "The Utter Delight"—I felt like I was suffering from jetlag the whole time I was there.
That day was kind of cool and overcast. We sat outside, at one of the tiny tables just to one side of the door, and enjoyed our beverages. At the time we didn't discuss the man at the table on the other side of the doorway. He had his motorcycle with him, helmet on the table. It wasn't until we skated away that we both commented that he looked so familiar; it was only then we realized it was Keanu Reeves. This was probably back in 1995 or even '94.
