Brad Pitt

I was in Brad Pitt's bus when he filmed "The Devil's Own."
In April of '96, I ran into a photographer friend while running errands in Manhattan. My friend tells me about all of the celebrity events for the week. He told me Brad Pitt was filming in Central Park by the Bethesda fountain that day. I immediately ran down to Movie Star News on 17th street to purchase an 8x10 of Brad Pitt to get autographed. Since I always carry a disposable camera when I am in the city, I was prepared.
I then went up to Central Park and waited. Instead of trailers, they had huge buses like rock stars when filming “The Devil's Own.” After a half hour wait, Brad Pitt comes walking down the block with Gwyneth Paltrow and security. There were a few photographers waiting, as well as three teenage girls. When the girls called out to Brad to stop, he told them to follow him because he wanted to get away from the paparazzi. The teenage girls followed him, and I trailed behind.
Brad told the girls to get on the huge bus with him. After the teenagers went in, I looked at the driver and he nodded his head. I then followed the three girls right on the bus. Brad was so busy talking to the girls that he didn't even realize I was there at first. Brad did not invite me on the bus personally, but I wasn't going to let that stop me! When Brad finally saw me he politely said hello. He seemed a little surprised, but not angry. The three girls took photos in between Brad and Gwyneth. When I told them that I would love a photo like that, but I am by myself, the bus driver volunteered to take the photo for me. Brad also autographed the 8x10 photo. I happened to have a magazine with me that Gwyneth was in, so I had her autograph her magazine photo for me.
I spoke to both of them for a few minutes about their Easter plans, since it was only five days before Easter Sunday. I stayed a minute longer to bask in the glory of the beautiful bus and beautiful Brad. This bus was equipped with a bar, a big screen TV and gorgeous leather sectional. I wanted to live in there forever with Brad! Unfortunately it was time for me and the teenage girls to leave the bus and get back to reality.
