I met Tom Cruise at "Good Morning America" in NYC.
On May 3, 2006, I was fortunate enough to meet Tom Cruise outside of the “Good Morning America” studios in midtown Manhattan. I arrived at “Good Morning America” at 6:30 a.m., only to find there were already many fans lined up along the two barricades.
I managed to squeeze in a small space in the second row. When Tom Cruise arrived, he only stopped for a few minutes, but I reached around the person in front of me and got my GQ magazine autographed. He only signed three autographs on my side of the barricade and around six on the other side. I guess I was lucky that I got him.
I waited for Tom to come out of “Good Morning America.” I was thrilled because the tourists in front of me left after Tom went in, so my friend and I moved up to the first row. After Tom came out, he signed a few more autographs, but not many. My friend asked Tom if she could take a photo with him, but he didn't seem to pay attention. His publicist took her camera, got Tom's attention and took the photo of the both of them. The publicist then looked at me, saw my camera and asked me if I wanted a photo with Tom. I didn't even have to ask him, he asked me! The publicist took one more photo for another guy, and then he and Tom were out of there. Out of all of the fans, I was one out of three that got their photos taken with Tom Cruise.
