walking in the alley
I was hired to play a drumming gig in downtown Austin, Texas. For the reputation of the city's finest, that's another story. The situation is that I have to do my set up as early as possible. One time I was waiting in the alley for the rest of the band members, when I saw three people walking up the alley toward my direction. As I looked I noticed the short guy in the middle of the other two fellas, had an extremely long blond beard, a pair of dark shades, black pants and black egg style skullcap. My first thought was ZZ Top. As they approached even closer, to my amazement, I was right. So I excitedly (inside) but calm produced a welcome hand shake and said, “I love your music!” And from that, his response was "Thanks, so you’re playing tonight?" and so on you can come to a conclusion.
