John Wayne
I met Mr. Wayne in an elevator at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa.
I was on a school trip to Ottawa in 1969. My friend Ray and I got into an elevator and the man inside was very friendly. He asked us what our names were and where we lived. He made a few jokes about why we would be in Ottawa. When we got off the elevator Ray asked "Do you know who that was?" I said "No". He said, "That was John Wayne." I told him I knew for a fact that Mr. Wayne was much taller and had a stronger chin and voice. He then told me that was John Wayne from "Wayne and Shuster" and it all fell into place.
